As summer’s heat swelters at what feels like an all time high, greenhouse growers at Color Division are roasting things up as they prepare for fall and winter crops.  Chrysanthemums, garden must-haves for autumn, will soon cover 16,000 square feet of greenhouse space, since growers began potting their first shipment of plugs for 2008 during the second week of July.  Clegg’s grown garden mums are now available at all four locations, being sold in 6 1/2” and 1.2 mum pots.

 

Mums aren’t the only crops vying for attention this summer.  Color Division received this year’s first delivery of poinsettias July 25th, and expects to swathe 22,000 square feet with more poinsettias by the end of August.  Clegg’s grown poinsettias range from pure white, blush and deep pink, to burgundy, maroon and candy apple red.
